Payment Credit Timeline

Options to provide your payment of property taxes. Please make sure whichever option you select that you retain your receipt to assist with any discrepancies.

Financial Institutions

You can schedule payments through your financial institution’s bill-payment application. This option permits you to schedule payments directly from your checking or savings account. Payments made through your bank’s bill-payment application will be processed and credited within 3-5 business days

Drop Box

The Franklin County Treasurer's Office Drop Box location has changed as of
September 9,2026, until further notice due to construction.

The Drop Box is located inside the entrance of the Franklin County Government Center at 373 South High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215 on the north wall prior to the security checkpoint.

Taxpayers can access the Drop Box to submit Real Estate and Manufactured Homes tax payments 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Payments of checks or money orders should be placed in an envelope with the corresponding tax bill to ensure proper processing and credit to the correct Parcel. 

We do not accept cash payments in the Drop Box.

Payments submitted in the Drop Box after business hours, weekends or on holidays will be credited to your Parcel the next business day. 

Online Payments

Payments made through the Treasurer's Office online payment application will be credited to the parcel as of the date requested on the application. These payments will be processed within 3-5 days.

Treasurer's Office - Downtown

Payments will be accepted during regular business hours and credited to your parcel immediately.

U.S. Mail

Payments received via U.S. Mail will be credited to parcels based on the postmark date shown on the envelope. These payments are typically processed within 10-15 days of mailing.
